Meditation and yoga go on the same path, they complement each other very well and it is certainly something that should be taught since we are little.
Many people think that yoga and meditation are just fashions that have become popular through social networks because in several of these videos yoga and meditation is treated as a fad or a passing activity.
As I shared in a past article, I did not know all the benefits that these 2 practices give you, yoga helped me improve my posture and with my back pain, and meditation helped me improve my approach to reach my goals.
I must say, these 2 activities have been carried out for many years, starting with Hatha Yoga, which was created in the 11th century and this focuses on the purification of the body through diet, the control of breathing and in certain postures such as the lotus flower.
After the above explained, we can deduce that yoga and meditation have both physical and spiritual benefits.
I have practised these 2 activities for some time, enough to say that I have the experience, so keep reading because you will discover the benefits of meditation and yoga
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEDITATION

– Focus and obsession
Meditation gives you something very difficult to achieve in the stressful era in which we find ourselves, the focus.
Most office jobs from 9 to 5 are very stressful because very few days you will find “perfect days”.
Maybe one morning the printer simply didn’t want to print, or it was getting late to deliver some reports to your boss.
Another situation may be that your son or daughter are going through teenage problems, but that you as a parent feel like something too worrying. The situations are endless.
What happens is that each one of these situations causes our mind to gradually wear out throughout the day.
I know because it happened so often before I began to meditate, so that, I recommend meditation for the morning
I was in school and had to turn in a job, but I didn’t have time to give it to the teacher, so I postponed it for the next day. Then, another teacher arrived and for whatever reason, the same thing happened, and so on all day.
Every minute I felt my mind wear out.
BUT…
When I began to meditate, I noticed how I could handle this approach the way I wanted.
It happens that when you meditate in the morning (which is a time of 0 mental wear, because you had a restful night’s sleep) you can use that moment to decide WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AND WHAT ARE YOUR OBJECTIVES, something you cannot do during the day due to all this mental wear.
This is the perfect time to think clearly and knows where you should put your focus and cover the so-called “focus leaks”
An emotional improvement
When you are meditating and you feel that state of trance and of being without being, while you breathe, inhale and exhale in a controlled way put your body in a state of relaxation, which leads you to an emotional improvement.
During that time, you can focus on the positive aspects of your life and spend some time thinking about solutions to problems.
It helps to handle problems like depression
Problems such as depression are caused by oneself.
Things such as negative thoughts are what leads a person to have depression.
When you meditate you reduce the number of negative thoughts, making it an excellent option for this problem.
It also helps to handle problems such as anxiety.
Due to the daily situations that many people face daily as problems at work or money, it is very common that they have a lot of accumulated anxiety.
As we have been reading in this article, meditation helps control your focus and energy, so it is also an excellent remedy for anxiety.
Reduce stress
Stress releases a hormone called cortisol, which is the stress hormone.
This hormone produces inflammation, stress, fatigue and irritation.
But, when meditating, you reduce stress in your brain during the day, so it is an excellent option if you are constantly under stress.
Yoga benefits for health

It helps eliminate back pain
When I started with the weights I began to feel very intense and stabbing pains in the lower back.
It was not because of a bad technique, but because my back was not used to bear heavyweights.
And it wasn’t until I started doing yoga poses such as the cobra that I stopped feeling pain in my back.
Most people have poor posture for most of the day, which wears the discs between your vertebrae and causes back pain.
Yoga allows you to improve the flexibility and posture of your back, which translates into “goodbye back pain”
Face Rheumatoid Arthritis
There are specific forms of yoga: Iyengar, Bikram, and gentle yoga which have proven to help in the management of rheumatoid arthritis
The slow and controlled movements that you do in many of the yoga positions, allow your body to relax many of your muscles and reduce the chances of suffering them.
Improves Heart Health
Yoga helps blood circulation and makes your heart more efficient when pumping blood.
In this way, it improves your blood circulation, because yoga also reduces your stress and improves your mood, as mentioned above.
Helps to Combat Migraines
Instead of resorting to aspirin, try a pose called “The bridge”
This position relaxes the muscles of the neck and upper back, helping to reduce migraines.
Unfortunately, the muscles around this part tend to strain very easily, so many people have migraines quite often.
How to Yoga Meditation
You have to know that many people have difficulty entering this trance state only in the lotus flower position.
This is because there are theories that say that the mind is impossible to keep quiet if there is no movement, and many people find it easy to meditate and stop thinking while doing some yoga poses.
This is a guide about how you can complement yoga and meditation.
1.- Find a place where you feel comfortable
You should be in a place without noise, where you are comfortable, for example in your room and put a mat to avoid hurting your knees while doing yoga positions
2.- Sit down and have a correct posture
Sit in a lotus flower position, throw your shoulders back, take out your chest and point your chin forward
3.- Control your breathing
In this position, close your eyes and inhale and exhale slowly and in a controlled manner. Count to 7, and repeat that process several times, remember to reset the account every time you reach 7
4.- When you feel that you are in a state of relaxation, start with some positions.
I recommend you start with the cobra and the Downward Facing Dog position
In the beginning, it is somewhat complicated, but you will see how yoga improves your posture, mood and happiness.
ANOTHER BENEFIT OF THE YOGA …
Yoga is a discipline that many people do not know, but it can help you lose weight.
YES!
Hot Yoga routines can burn even more calories than an hour of gym
So…
I can recommend something incredible if you are interested in toning and losing weight with yoga.
Or it can also be an excellent alternative to cardio if, for example, you don’t like walking.
